What grades and forms does this AMS tubing specification cover?
AMS 4943 covers seamless Ti-3Al-2.5V (Grade 9) tubing and AMS 4944 covers welded Ti-3Al-2.5V (Grade 9) tubing for aerospace hydraulic systems, fluid lines and instrumentation. Grade 9 offers excellent formability, weldability and corrosion resistance with higher strength than CP titanium.
How do you certify and trace the titanium tubing?
Every lot ships with an EN 10204 Type 3.1 Material Test Report documenting chemical composition and mechanical properties, plus heat number traceability. Aerospace orders include AS9102 first article inspection and NDT performed per NADCAP-compliant procedures.
Can you bend, weld and test the tubing assemblies?
Yes. We CNC bend, orbitally TIG weld and hydrostatically test titanium tube assemblies in-house, with full internal/external argon shielding and 3D CMM verification against the isometric.
